PERFECT-IT™ FOAM CUTTING POLISHING BERET

For maximum performance at every step during polishing, our 3M™ Perfect-It™ foam cutting polishing berets combine time-saving features and improved results. Beret face patterns are designed into the foam to retain more polish and limit spatter, as well as provide more surface contact for maximum efficiency. Double-sided and single-sided constructions work with our Quick Connect and Hookit™ attachment systems to save time and increase the life of the berets. Choose from a variety of berets for specific applications, including cured, hard or medium finish paint work, speckle removal, scratch removal, and P1200 or finer sand scratch smoothing, even in confined spaces. We developed these foam berets as part of our Perfect-It™ color-coded paint finishing system to keep pace with evolving paint and lacquer technologies. Foam berets are typically less aggressive and produce a finer finish than wool berets, making them ideal for the critical brightening phases of refinishing. They can typically operate at a higher RPM, relying on a combination of cutting and heat build-up to lightly melt the surface coating and remove fine scratches and circular marks. Our 3M™ Perfect-It™ double-sided foam cut foam cutting polishing pads feature a center plate for added durability and work with our Quick Connect polisher adapter. The metal adapter has 5/8-inch threads, allowing operators to lock and center our polishing berets on a wide range of standard rotary polishers. They can disassemble them just as quickly, which makes changing the bushings quick and easy and saves time. Our Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature allows you to attach, remove and reattach 3M™ Perfect-It™ single-sided foam-cutting polishing berets cleanly, easily and very quickly to maximize shop time. Hookit™ berets have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook and loop applications. Hookit™ disc holder berets grip the brushed nylon holders of 3M™ Perfect-It™ foam cutting polishing berets and keep them firmly attached even during aggressive use. The 3M™ Perfect-It™ foam polishing berets are the highest performing double-sided and single-sided foam cutting foam polishing berets we offer. They are an integral part of our 3M™ Perfect-it™ paint finishing system, developed for when the finest finish is required for every level of lacquering and paint repair. Our system uses a progressive series of abrasive, buffing and polishing berets to produce showroom finishes with deep colors and high gloss.
