It is designed for use as an industrial maintenance primer for a wide range of anticorrosive coating systems, both on properly prepared surfaces in new construction situations and in the offshore, petrochemical, chemical, pulp and paper, and bridge industries. Its fast drying and handling characteristics, along with the extended applicability of the topcoat, make it the perfect primer for factory application prior to full system deployment in the field.
BANNOH 1500 provides good wear resistance, minimizing mechanical damage between the factory and the site. BANNOH 1500 can be used in mild chemical environments. Maximum coated surface temperature ≤250°C. The paint film may discolor.
Tested according to ISO 12944-6, high durability is expected in the abrasiveness category up to C5-High and Im1-Im3 High, including chemical resistance testing according to ISO 2812-1.
